When I was nursing Sweet Pea, I never liked nursing in public. I felt ashamed because from the beginning I let others make me feel that way. I was doing nothing wrong, I was just feeding my baby when she was hungry, and being a terrible pumper, there really was no other option.
When I received the opportunity to work with MILK Nursingwear and review one of their very stylish nursing tops, I was extremely excited. Although I will be going through my insurance to get a better breast pump, I am not counting on pumping working for me. My mom and my sister both had hospital grade pumps and neither were able to pump very much.
I love all of milk nursingwear's adorable nursing tops and honestly had trouble picking one out! I finally decided and received the contemporary knot top and I absolutely LOVE it. The first thing you'll notice about MILK Nursingwear is how soft the material is. I love how stylish and easy to maneuver the top I received is! My younger sister-in-law said she loved my shirt and then was surprised when I showed her it was a nursing shirt.
I can't wait to wear this shirt with my newest edition due in March. It's comfortable, breathable, and I feel that I will be able to nurse discreetly without a cover. This is a huge deal since Sweet Pea was never a big fan of them and honestly, neither was I.
Did you ever have issues with nursing in public? What do you think about milk nursingwear? Do you like their style and convenience?

I definitely like the convience. I never nursed in public with my first because we got really sick before that point and had to give up breastfeeding. I'm really hoping things will go much smoother this time.
ReplyDeleteI could so go for one of these! The nursing shirts I have are all so low cut. I love the styles!
ReplyDeleteThis gift card would be for me as I will have a newborn at a family member's wedding next year, and it would be great to have some pretty nursing clothing! I had serious problems with breastfeeding with my last child due to her being premature, but I'm hoping this next time will be different. I'd love the opportunity to just be able to nurse in public!
ReplyDeleteThis would be great for my sister who's currently breastfeeding. These clothes are exactly her style.
ReplyDeleteI love nursing tops and how convenient they are. Unfortunately, I only own one which is a tank top.
ReplyDeleteThis would be for myself as a nursing mother. Sometimes what I decide to wear isn't always convenient to nurse in public and in those situations I find myself going to the car. I love the style of milk nursingwear. I think they are very cute!
ReplyDeleteI'd win for myself!
ReplyDeleteI would love this! It would be for me, since I am due in April! Fingers crossed! I love the styles and they look super easy to use!
ReplyDeleteI would find something for myself. I am nursing my 10 mo. old and I am due with #3 in April, so I will be nursing for the forseable future. I am ok nip, but I like to cover up as much as possible, something discreet like this would be awesome! I LOVE the styles and convenience!
ReplyDeleteI like that it's fashionable, isn't plain like most nursing clothing. I would win this for myself

I would LOVE to find something dressy for me to wear when we go out and about and I want to feel prettier - I just always wear tanks right now!
ReplyDeleteI've never had issues nursing in public, but I always tried to be discreet. I really like the Milk Nursing styles. It is very similar to my normal wear.
ReplyDeleteI never had any official nursing clothes, I always just worked with what I had and many times had to find a much more private location to nurse than I would have if I'd had more discreet clothes.
ReplyDeletethis would be for me and I love Gathered-loop nursing top
ReplyDeleteI have no issue nursing in public (I;m feeding my baby) I do love the new nursing shirts available. They are so adorable. It is hard to choose a favourite. I do like the nursing babydoll shirt. I also like the empire style amd crossover stye.
ReplyDeleteI like these nursing pieces; they're fashionable and functional! With my first, I didn't nurse in public. I was too worried about the logistics, I guess. Needless to say, we didn't go out often. With my new little one, I hope to be a lot braver and just do it!
ReplyDeletethis would be for me! i dont mind nursing in public but i usually just avoid problems by going out to the truck (unless its winter)... i love their styles. very simple and modest but the price tags are way out of my budget!
ReplyDeleteThese are adorable! I do nurse in public but love how discreet these would be!
ReplyDeleteI love these tops! I think they are absolutely adorable, and I wouldnt feel weird wearing one. I don't have a child yet, we are still TTC, but I am going to do my best to be brave and nurse in public.
ReplyDeletethis would be for me. I do not nurse in public unless it is in a mother's room, I would love to win this because their clothes are stylish and discreet :)

These tops are super cute! I would not mind nursing in public if I had the right top. I am pretty sure no one wants to see me lift up my top to nurse a very distracted seven month old, nor do care to let everyone see all of that!
ReplyDeleteI never did nurse in public because I couldn't find a top that was discrete enough, and my kids were not a fan of having a cover tossed over their heads. These tops look like they'd make it a whole lot easier to be able to NIP without a cover.
ReplyDeleteThis would be for me :) I am pregnant with my 3rd and I breastfed my first 2 till a year. I have had issues nursing in public because I tend to be modest and just don't feel comfortable knowing men sometimes think of the act in a more sexual manner. I guess I just care too much about what others think!! I LOVE the style of milk nursingwear's clothing!! Looks so practical, adorable, AFFORDABLE, modest, and convenient. I always find it SO hard to find affordable pregnancy and nursing clothing! Thanks for sharing the brand!!
ReplyDeleteIf I won this, it would be for myself. I am still breastfeeding my baby, although she is old enough to eat baby food now, so that is mostly what we do when we are out in public. Sometimes she just wants to nurse though! The brand looks so cute and comfortable, like it would make feeding a lot easier. I especially like the dress pictured on the giveaway box
ReplyDeleteI would win it for me. I like the simplicity and convenience of it. I like to be as covered as possible while nursing in public so this would be great.
ReplyDeleteI'd win it for me, I'm expcting #2 in March.
ReplyDeleteThis would be for me! I am due in December with baby #3! I love nursing and will nurse in public. But nursing clothing makes it easier to be discreet without a bold bulky nursing cover! I love milk nursingwear! I want the Knotted nursing tank top!
ReplyDeleteThis would be a gift for me, because I am expecting in two weeks! I cant wait to be a proud breastfeeding mother :-)
ReplyDeleteI have always hated nursing in public, even though I know I am doing nothing wrong. Being due with baby #2 in March, this would be a perfect way to get prepared!
ReplyDeleteThese are super nice tops! They don't even look like nursing shirts for the most part. i really like the sleeveless babydoll nursing top. I nurse in public but have definitely stretched out a few (non-nursing) shirts doing so!
ReplyDeleteThese clothes look awesome! I have nursed in public many times and these shirts would make it so much easier. Oh, and this would be a gift for me.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the bright pop of colour and to be pretty and a nursing mama-awesome!
ReplyDeleteIf I won this, I would keep it for myself. I do not own any nursing shirts, so this would be awesome. I don't love nursing in public because I don't want my body parts to show, so I usually try to find somewhere private to nurse. This would make it easy to nurse in public.
ReplyDeleteIf I won, I would definitely be getting something for myself! I love the idea of nursing wear!! I was nervous nursing my daughter in public, so I would always nurse in the backseat of the car or pump when I had to be out and about. I am hoping that when baby #2 arrives, we will find it easier to nurse in public.
ReplyDeleteThis would be for me! I haven't had problems nursing in public but it would be nice to have a nursing top, I don't even have any tanks!
ReplyDeleteI would love to have this to use with my first due in 6 weeks! I am looking forward to breastfeeding and hoping we can get a good routine going pretty quickly. I'd love to have stylish looking clothes that are also functional for nursing.
ReplyDeleteThis would be great for me! I'm due in January, and the less skin I have to expose, the better
ReplyDeleteI would love this! My biggest issue was that I didn't have any button top dresses for the Christening. I had to wear the same old flannel shirt and pants. :-(
ReplyDeletethese are cute for nursing shirts..usually the only ones you can find look very matronly and not stylish.
ReplyDeleteThese are darling! I usually just wear a tshirt and a tank top so I would love to have something stylish especially for special occasions!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a great nursing top! I would love one for myself.
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to win this for myself. I don't brestfeed yet but will be soon. I just love this brand of nursing wear. There web page is so nice and helpful. I don't think thwy have an outfit that I don't like.
ReplyDeleteI would want this for myself. I'm due with our first baby in the spring and plan to breastfeed. I love that their clothes are trendy yet breastfeeding friendly!

The knot dress is adorable... when I have kids, I expect that I'll breastfeed in public, but if I won, this would probably be for a friend.
ReplyDeleteI would use this for myself. I did not have issues nursing in public with my first as breastfeeding was so normal in our family that I had grown up used to seeing it. Milk nursingwear is cute.
ReplyDeleteI love milk nursingwear! The tops are stylish and discreet. We nurse on demand, no matter where we are, so that definitely includes out in public. My daughter is now 4 months old, and I was a little nervous at first, but NIP in groups (like my La Leche League group) helped to make us more comfortable. I wish more apparel companies catered to nursing moms instead of just maternity wear.
ReplyDeletethis would be perfect for baby number 2
ReplyDeleteThis would be for me. I haven't nursed in public since my little one isn't here yet. I like the styles of milk nursing wear and convenience.
ReplyDeleteMy little one is 7 months old, and even though he's my fourth, I still hate nursing in public. I feel like I should "just go with it," but it makes me really uncomfortable - I try to time outings so he won't be hungry while we're out. He won't use a cover (pulls it right off, and I don't blame him, I wouldn't like eating under a blanket either), and I have several nursing tops but still feel very exposed. These ones seem like they'd cover a lot more when my little one is nursing, would love to try one out!
ReplyDeleteThis would be a great addition to my nursing wardrobe, then into the box of traveling maternity and nursing clothes our community of mamas pass around!
