With an almost five month old who just started solids, a three year old, and a dog - my house has a MANY of smells. Which my nose is mostly likely adjusted to because I am around them so often. But what about when people come to visit? Am I suppose to subject them to just-started-solids poopy diaper stench? I use a diaper pail still, it's a must have in my opinion, and it helps contain a lot, but Febreze products have always been my go-to to eliminate odors when guests come over. Or even times when they don't. ;)
I would hate for guests to come over and cut their stay short because of the smell. I know I have done it. Nothing worse than wet dog, which I KNOW I have escaped from more than few times. I do not want my guests to feel they have to hold their noses in my home, I want them to feel welcomed and to enjoy their time here.
I have been using the Febreze fabric refresher since we lived in our apartment back in 2007 because I spray it on my couches, now I use it to refresh our mattresses, the dog's bed in between washes, and even my carpets. Just a few small spays makes my house smell amazingly fresh. While the Febreze air freshener is great for the home and the car to eliminate odors. I use the Febreze Noticeable Warmer in my kitchen, right next to the trash to eliminate that stench. And to top it off I use the Febreze candles in our bathrooms. I love the way they look making for some elegant décor as well.
I hosted a movie night in my home with a few close friends (and their children) for a Noseblind test. I was sent several Febreze products for my #Noseblind test gathering.
- Febreze Air Effects
- Febreze Fabric Refresher
- Febreze Noticeables with refill

So what does it mean to be #Noseblind? It's the gradual acclimation to the smells of one’s home, car, or belongings, in which the affected does not notice them (even though their guests do).
The #Noseblind test consisted of having guests come over to watch a movie and eat some popcorn. Easy enough, right? My guests took a few short surveys with questions such as what odors did they smell in my home when arriving (which was dog apparently :[ ), what odor did they smell after I made popcorn for us to enjoy while watching the movie (buttery they said), and a survey after using Febreze products in my home. Thankfully they were good sports!
After passing out the popcorn and watching the movie I used the Febreze products to see if my guests would be able to still smell the popcorn or could they smell the Febreze products. Well, thankfully, they smelled the pretty smells of Febreze Meadows and Rain! Febreze contains a molecule known as Cyclodextrin that traps and eliminates odors and leaves behind a pleasant smell!

Mostly just to the staleness of a room being closed off too long. We are retired and all the rooms in our house are not used as much as when there were more than us two.

i hate the smell of the drains. We live in a super old building an no amount of bleach covers it!
ReplyDeleteI think I'm most #noseblind to the house smell or my bedroom smell. If you are in it a while you don't notice but when I come from outside it's noticeable and that bothers me and I could use some Febreze so that it's welcoming to others to come inside. :)
