I have mentioned that one of my new year resolutions was to cook at home more. And so far, I have been sticking to it, but there are times when I just don't feel like cooking. I want to be able to whip up a quick, delicious meal that my family will love without doing to much work. I want to be able to just throw stuff into a pot and go.
I was recently introduced to Cook's Companion Digital Wonder Pot through Phoenix Trading Company. The Wonder Pot is a part rice cooker, part steam cooker and even does soups and baking. It is very easy to use and clean. It has a ton of great settings. The digital controls are simple to program and feature an “Automatic Warm” setting that allows you keep your food warm during the day so your meal is fresh and ready to eat when you want it.

We recently made Sweet & Sour Pork in the Wonder Pot. It was a very easy to make recipe and all the work was practically done for me. It was easy as throwing everything in the pot and waiting to serve. This recipe was found in the instruction manual. We topped ours on brown rice, but you could do quinoa or "riced" cauliflower too. I think the Wonder Pot makes a great gift for someone living in a dorm or small apartment because it takes up very little space and can cook in so many ways.
About Phoenix Trading Company:
First, they are not in Phoenix, Arizona. Never have been (they're in Boston). Their name refers to the mythical bird, the Phoenix, which is reborn to soar again. Their home goods, plus size clothing, kitchen appliances, and other products are sort of like that. They buy large volumes of out-of-season, overstock and clearance designer merchandise from national retailers and TV shopping channels, then pass the savings to you - on average offering the goods at 60% below retail. And by the way, the pictures of shoes and clothing you see on their site are the actual items that you’ll get in the mail.
