So I decided to get holiday pictures taken this year. I have been wanting to get family pictures taken for a while, but trying to work it around my husband's schedule has been almost impossible, but I wanted at least some pictures of just the kids. And I am so glad I decided to do this.
When I received the opportunity to experience Portrait Innovations first hand, I jumped at the chance. I made our appointment for 9:40 am because I knew that I needed to get my kids in there early in the morning. They both woke up on their own in great moods and I think that helped a lot. The closest Portrait Innovations is about an hour away from us which really isn't unreasonable for a quality studio.
The experience of working with Portrait Innovations was wonderful. Our photographer was very polite and she worked beautifully with my children. My daughter has this "fake smile" that she got from her Daddy, but our photographer was able to get a real one out of her. She was also able to get our three year who hates taking pictures to cooperate and actually give us some genuine smiles. Our photographer worked very quick which is also key with photographing children too.
I decided to not only do a dressy holiday picture, but holiday pajama pictures as well. Our photographer also made sure there were shots of each child individually. She also had great ideas for poses and prop ideas as well. By this time though, my son's attention span was wearing out. But our photographer helped him stay focused without very much help from me.
Make sure you visit their website to find the closest location to you so you can schedule your holiday photos. Remember, you get to take your photos home with you that day which was amazing so we didn't have to make the drive again and it means no waiting a week or two for your pictures to come back to the studio.
