Zero Waste Air Fryer French Toast

I absolutely hate food waste. I have invested in multiple freezers and am a big fan of freezing any leftovers that I know we won't get to. I even have shared other zero waste recipes like our homemade cake pops and fruit bar popsicles. Today, I'm giving breakfast for dinner a shot with this air fryer French toast.

Zero Waste Air Fryer French Toast

So, what is zero waste cooking? Zero-waste cooking means to have no waste left behind while cooking a meal. This includes parts of the ingredients you're using and packaging from the ingredients. When practicing zero-waste cooking, you will use every single part of vegetables, fruits, meat, and whatever else may be required for your dish.

I believe not only is this a great way to live more sustainably to help our environment, but also saves you money. So why do I consider this recipe zero waste? We froze the end parts of the loaves of bread. We also froze the uneven amounts of leftover hotdog and hamburger buns because the manufacturers got together got together and sold them in the right amount. But c'est la vie. This recipe for Air Fryer French Toast is super easy and was a definite crowd pleaser plus it made dinner super quick, but also a comfort food, hearty breakfast as well.

Making food from home is a great way to save money. And I have found that pre-making options ahead of time is a great way to save time as well. I love making breakfast for my family on the weekends and although homemade can be the way to go, it's so time consuming! PLUS pre-making the homemade mix makes breakfast for dinner nights run so much smoother too.

This is also a fun recipe to get the kids involved in the kitchen. And if they are a picky eaters then it can be a great tip to get them to try different foods.

French Vanilla Pancakes Recipe {Breakfast Night with Krusteaz + Giveaway}

I received complimentary products to provide this post. All opinions are my own.

Did you know that September is National Breakfast Month? We are HUGE fans of Breakfast night in our house. It's quick, easy, and oh so yummy thanks to Krusteaz mixes! In a national survey, Krusteaz found that nine out of ten (91 percent) Americans say they eat breakfast for dinner, with 56 percent doing so once a month or more often. For families, the trend is even more prevalent as 67 percent of respondents with children in the household say they have breakfast for dinner once a month or more.

A variety of factors contribute to the rising popularity of breakfast for dinner, with the main appeal being ease of preparation versus a traditional dinner meal (43 percent). For families especially, it’s also “a fun way to break up the monotony of weekly dinner night” cited by 44 percent.
