This trip is a perfect example of "How To Shop Sales". I have been couponing for over a year now, but my first advice for saving money on groceries came from my mother-in-law. She said use coupons when you have them on what you would normally buy, but always try and shop sales. Great advice that has helped my family save so much money and how I can afford to be a stay-at-home mom.
This week, we were low on veggies. My family goes through veggies like they are going out of style. Nice problem to have, right? But I have been terrible about buying papers, so I had NO coupons. What's a girl to do? Kroger is having this awesome Buy 10, Get 5 free sale. PLUS my Kroger was having a 4-day sale. And of course the Mega still is going on (and a new one starts next week). :D

Don't forget to load your 2x fuel points e-coupon at Kroger.com and shop weekends through June & July to save at the pump this summer!
By the way, have I mentioned my love of the ibotta app? I haven't? (I think I mentioned it here) Anyways it's this cool app where you can earn CASH through PayPal for items that you would normally purchase anyways. PLUS you can use paper coupons with this app!
Silk Soymilk or Pure Almondmilk, 64 oz, 2/$5
- $1/1 Silk Beverage: (Soy Almond or Coconut milk or Fruit & Protein 1/2 gal+) Target Coupon
- $1/1 Silk Pure Almond Milk Half Gallon
- $0.75 Silk Half Gallon ibotta offer
You actually make a quarter after coupons and ibotta offer!
WOW! So what are you waiting for? Don't you want to get paid for products you are buying anyways?
AWESOME! You inspire me. The most I've saved is $22 using coupons.
ReplyDeleteI used to use coupons and save lots of money. When I went back to work I just didn't have the time. It is time-consuming. Now that I am home again I should probably start couponing again.
ReplyDelete63% saved, awesome! I love couponing! :) Danica

I LOVE couponing! I started couponing seriously (binder and all) about 4 years ago, and I cannot believe before I started I would actually say things like, "Oh deodorant's on sale at Target this week, too bad I don't need any this week." Seriously. Even my children now know when we're in the store to ask, "Is it on sale? Do you have a coupon?" before asking "Can we get that?" LOL. Love meeting a fellow couponer/bloppy!! :)
ReplyDeleteHoly Cow! 63% saved? My mom's lucky if she saves 30%! Awesome inspiration for couponing!
ReplyDeleteI love bringing in the stuff from the grocery store and figuring how much I saved!! I also love running out of something and grabbing the next one in the cupboard because I stocked up :) Great trip!! I really need to start using Iobota. I signed up ages ago but didn't do anything with it. Maybe I will finally start. Thanks :)
