I didn't get anything for christmas =/

A few years back my ex-husband gave me an automatic nail gun -- what in the world would I do with that? I returned it and bought a new leather coat.

My mother tends to forget that I'm allergic to almonds, so there have been several Christmases that I received almond candies. Blech!

I really liked all my gifts!

I have gotten numerous pairs of earrings even though my ears aren't pierced!

My Husband gave me a gift card for Christmas.
He gave his Mother the same gift...Blah!

Nothing truly awful...we do play dirty santa at my husband's dads Christmas and I ended up having my super awesome baking set stolen and ended up with a scented bath set that I couldn't actually use though...

Bath towels. I'll never let my husband forget that one!

One year my stepmother gave me a shoe shaped brush that suction cups to the shower floor

I've never received a terrible present, just clothes that don't fit or aren't my style.

I don't think I have ever actually been given an awful gift.

I didn't get anything awful for Christmas. I didn't get a Keurig like I wanted lol, but I didn't get anything bad either ;)

I can't think of an awful gift I ever received, but sometimes the clothes my husband has picked out has not been the best decision he usually makes.

I've been very fortunate to get pretty nice gifts every year.

My grandmother always buys me clothes that I never wear!

We did an ornament swap this year and everyone brought these beautiful ornaments.... I got stuck with an Elvis... now don't get me wrong Elvis is great and all but this was a really poor quality and was not going to be going on my tree at all!

I seem to always get clothes that never fit and I can't return for the right size.

For years, I got the same gift from my husband's grandmother. Cheese/jelly spreaders. Not the same pattern, random patterns. I have many sets. The email I check most often is fossil316@aol.com

I got a candle that smells like cheap cologne. I don't mind candles, but at least make sure it smells good! Haha!

I can't really think of an awful gift, thankfully. I've gotten clothes that didn't fit, that's always kind of a bummer.

Eleven years ago when we were first dating, I put a lot of thought in to his gifts. I couldn't wait to see what he would give me and when I opened up a gray sweatshirt I was disappointed. I still have that sweatshirt and were it when it is chilly. He always teases me that it was a great "practical" gift. Thankfully, his gifts improved over the years!

Probably giant pencils - I mean really, what do you do with those?

One year my mom gave me a coffee canister filled with rice. The rice would have been great (because it's pretty expensive in bulk) but this rice tasted like coffee. I had to throw it away.

Most of my awful gifts come from my father in law. He tends to buy things based on my sister in laws taste, which is the complete opposite of mine. I usually smile and wear/ use whatever just so I don't hurt his feeling, but this year I was given some of the worst gifts ever. The one gift I really liked where a pair of leather glove, but my husband and I discovered they were 2 different colors when we were in full light.

As a kid, my mom always got me underwear and bras. I hated it growing up, but now it's what I ask for.

I once got a really ugly macrame plant holder with plastic raccoons woven into it...awful!

One year I received lingerie from a boyfriend's dad :/

I always get the same blanket that my grandma makes. same coolor everything.. I have like 10 lol

I've never gotten a truly horrible gift but sometimes I wonder if people just buy what they see or buy what they like rather than thinking if it is something I would actually want, LOL!

My mom bought a deer stand camera thinking that would be great for home security or something similar. They make security cameras where you can watch a live feed for that!

I got a back massager. Just found I never used it. Id rather have a persons hands for a massage than equipment.

I got a regifted candle.

I got another pair of slippers. I think that makes 6 years in a row now. I don't wear slippers.

It would be ugly socks...lol

I must be pretty lucky. The only "bad" gifts I've gotten are gift cards to places I don't shop.

I got a really ugly Christmas Tshirt from my sister.

My father-in-law once gave me a plastic severed zombie hand from the 99 cent store Halloween selection as a Christmas present. I think it was intended as some sort of joke, but the truth is (and I'm not making a joke) I think his meds (since adjusted!) were off. My husband was speechless.

Well, my dad really loves getting joke gifts. I have gotten the most random things, old wood clogs, dog treats (when I didn't have a dog, lol), cans of spam, etc. Very random things!

When I was in middle school I opened a gift from a relative on Christmas Eve. It was a cute outfit for a young girl plus a diary and a training bra. gah! All of my cousins and uncles and aunts were there & I was so embarassed.

I once received a pair of men's pajama pants... I'm a woman. The worst part is that they were too small!

I got some perfume from my Mother In Law that I absolutely hated. I had told her that it smelled good (on her) -- lie -- and she bought me some. Ugh.

My MIL got me a stocking filled with hair product & soap she knows I will not use, per our numerous conversations about how I only use green, non-toxic products on me & the kids. Products that are available at the health food store she eats lunch at everyday. Instead I got chemical laden products I know she got for free with coupons.

Honestly, I can't say any gift I've gotten has been just awful. Nothing that sticks in my memory anyway. My family must know me well :)

My grandma used to give me a sweater every year, I hated sweaters.

I was given extra large pajama pants and a small shirt.

I got a ton of chocolates which I normally love but I'm trying to watch what i eat!

It's been so long since I've had a strange Christmas gift. One year my grandma got us all bathrobes, and the one she got me was pink fleece with flying cats all over them. It made me feel like a crazy cat lady, but it ended up being really comfy. So I did use it. :) -Heather R

I received a jar of herring which is not my cup of tea! I put it out for our post holiday party.

Nothing was awful. Someone gave me some coal as a gag gift once, though. LOL

I don't think I have ever received an 'awful' gift. I consider any gift I receive to be a blessing. I have received duplicate gifts (from same person) so that was strange, but I loved her anyway. :)

Hi! One year my husband bought me an ironing board. Then, as if he didn't learn, another year he bought me a vacuum cleaner. For real?! I needed both but as presents? Haha! Thanks for this fun chance!!

I randomly got this candle that smells HORRIBLE. We will donate that one and hopefully someone else likes that smell.... :)

i got a horrible sweater and a body cream for christmas that was awfull.

I got a ceramic rooster a few years ago from a coworker that is about 2 feet tall. So now, every year some member of my family gives me a rooster. I told them the next one that does gets written out of the will :)

One year my father in law got me hot pink sweat pants. They were way to big and I had my son that August. I was still very hormonal at the time. I think maybe if they weren't so big and pink it wouldn't have been that bad... Maybe.

I got a vacuum cleaner from my ex-husband a few years back. UGH!

My mom wasn't happy when I married my husband, and our first Christmas as a married couple she gifted me monogramed towels with my old initials. I was so mad.

My daughter was in the hospital so that was very hard....

I don't get much so when I do it's something I appreciate and most of the time it's something I've wanted. Thanks for the chance :)

Once an ex-boyfriend got me a dinky (less than $5) stuffed animal; not even cute or plush. *smh*

I got an ugly hideous sweatshirt.

Several years back, I got an entire series of books from a boyfriend. I love to read, but the thing is I had already told him I did not like this particular series, so I'm unsure why he thought this would be a good gift.

My husband got me a pink fluffy bath robe for christmas once.... I already had a purple one I never wore, and I HATE pink... He thought it was a sort of purpleish pink... I promptly returned it.

I got some oven mitts that are so stiff I can't hold anything with them.

Last Christmas, my aunt got me a bath / body lotion set, it was really pretty , but the scent was Roses which I am allergic too.

I can't think of any absolutely terrible gifts I've received. I haven't liked all of them, but I don't think they were awful.

I didn't get anything truly awful, at least not recently. But a lot of bath & body products with scents I've hated have had to be regifted over the years.

One year, I got a mans wallet. I am not a man! Lol

I got an awful floral print nightgown from my mother in law.

When I got kitchen towels, eww!! But I got other stuff that was great so overall no complaints.

I always cringe when I get scented candles and soaps for the holidays. I'm so sensitive to smell that it's awful when I get these things and have to ditch them as soon as we get home.

Last year I received a groupon for a restaurant an hour away and it expired in 3 months. My husband is a bakery driver and goes to bed early. I kept trying to get out there but were not able to use it before it expired.

Really I can't think of any horrible gift I've ever received. Lucky me!

When I was about 10, I got panties at at a Sunday School secret Santa. EMBARRASSING.

My husband got me a pair of jeans that was like 4 sizes too big. Jerk!!!

I did not get any awful gifts but a few people did not get me anything!

I got a purse with no inside dividers/pockets or anything, everyting is everywhere in that purse.

The worst gift I've gotten was a Barbie from my grandmas when I was 14.

A family member gives us pillowcases every year. Drives me nuts.

Not me but my son...every year his wife's grandmother gives him XXL sweatpants. He doesn't wear sweatpants and has never worn XXL pants. So, every year I have to figure out where they came from and return them for him.

Worst gift I got this past Christmas was a big fat nothing by my fiancé, father of my two children! Nothing! Grrrr..... :(
