I have been battling with my weight for more than a few years now. I was never the "thin" one or even "in shape". I have had to try to teach myself healthy eating habits because I was never taught them growing up. Pregnancy and breastfeeding throws me out of whack.
I am excited (and nervous) to announce that I am starting my weightloss journey as a Nutrisystem #NSNation Blogger. I'm excited because I personally know quite a few people who have a had a great experience with this program. I'm nervous because I am going to have to teach myself and schedule all my meals, water, intake, and exercise until it becomes habit (because it wasn't before).
Below are some pictures that I want to share with all of you, so you can see where I'm starting from and hold myself accountable. These are embarrassing, but they are real.
That's my before pictures. Because I'm determined for change and below is proof of my weight. A weight that I can't believe I let myself get to. I started recording my weight (as I will my meals and exercise) in the NuMi App. Get it? NuMi...New Me... :) NuMi is their free app that allows you to track your food, water & exercise on a daily basis. It’s a perfect tool to help keep you on track and stay within your calorie band… even when you are on the go! The app also includes activity suggestions and syncs with Fitbit, Apple Health, Jawbone, and more.
I'm want to lose weight for me. I want to lose weight to feel better about myself and have more confidence. I want to FINALLY pass the weight portion on our health insurance physical. I want fit in my clothes again. I want to be able to play with my children for longer periods of time. My biggest issue is going to be making sure I get my exercise in. Nutrisystem has made it pretty easy by making sure you get 30 minutes a day and then by breaking that up into 10 minute increments if need be. I'm starting on Fast 5+ tomorrow, which is said that you can lose 5 pounds in a week.
You can follow the journey with me as I will be posting often on social media with the hashtag #NSNation and I will be updating you all here weekly. I know October seems like a weird time to start a weightloss program, but if I can make it work going in the holidays then I can stick with it for sure. Wish me luck!
I received a complimentary 3 month Nutrisystem program in exchange for sharing my experience. All opinions are my own.

ReplyDeleteFirst of all congrats on starting this journey! I know it is not easy (since I have started a lot of times and never finish) I am determined to change the strategy of losing my weight, so I may look into the NutriSystem to see how it fits into my style. I have a trip in a month and all I can think of is that the first thing people is going to say to me is how fat I have gotten :(
