Monday we started the week off with dance of course where they had a Santa and Peanut actually sat in his lap! Both were scared when we went before. SweetPea said she would have sat in his lap (even though she was scared) if she knew there were candy canes. LOL
This week has was SweetPea's last week of school before Winter Break and we all went as a family to her Christmas Party on Friday, then we took the kiddos to see The Good Dinosaur which was a GREAT movie and I seriously suggest taking your kiddos to see it.
We also did get pop corn, but were easy on the butter and I measured mine out.

Yesterday was a VERY busy day for the kiddos and me. We had to go to my dad's side's Christmas and then to my father-in-law's side. I woke up super early and made homemade mac & cheese (a specialty my husband's grandmother taught me) and creamed corn (which I had never made before). Nutrisystem definitely fueled my morning. I was doing well food wise until the kids wanted desert. Peanut just grabbed a piece of cheesecake off the table and I couldn't waste it. :)

I have been slipping into some old bad food habits on my own. Late night snacking and having too many Christmas cookies around doesn't help. I also still haven't been the best about getting my steps in even with my new fitness tracker. I am hoping to make it to the gym more the next two weeks since SweetPea is out of school. We have plans to go to the zoo tomorrow, so that will help. Thursday (Christmas Eve) we are bringing back our tradition to go to The Varsity, so pray I make good food choices. :) And of course Friday is Christmas! I still can't believe how fast this year is going.
What are your Christmas plans?
I received a complimentary 3-month subscription to Nutrisystem to provide this post. All opinions are my own.
I start my NSNation adventure on January 11th, and I have loved watching as some of my fave bloggers have taken their journey. You should be proud of the progress that you have made...everyone hits plateaus, and I don't envy anyone that is trying to stick to a diet during the Holiday season. Just don't give up, start the New Year strong, and you will get where you want to be. I am looking forward to seeing the after photo!
ReplyDeleteIt's been hard making separate food for the Hubby and kiddos than myself. Fortunately they are eating more veggies, but it still hasn't been easy.
