My son is a picky eater. It's not really that he's picky but getting nutrients into him is a hassle. He likes to "snack" and I don't mind providing snacks as long as they are good for him too. Recently, a friend of mine introduced us to Gerber Lil' Beanies. They are made with navy beans and provide 2g of protein per serving. She had brought them to ball practice, and I thought, "that's the perfect go-to summertime toddler snack". They are easily portable, and my son loves them, so it's definitely a win-win for me.
While shopping at Kroger, we decided to grab a few.
Gerber Lil' Beanies come in Original Flavor (which has the mild taste of navy beans) and White Cheddar & Broccoli Flavor. Each variety has 2g of protein (9% Daily Value per serving), 1g of fiber per serving, and 10% Daily Value of Vitamin E per serving. They are also non-GMO and have no artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives. So, you can feel good about feeding them to your toddler.
We found Gerber Lil' Beanies easily at Kroger on the baby aisle with the other Gerber products we love. As soon as we found them, my son wanted me to open them. But he was very patient and waited until we were in the car. Of course, he had to hold them the entire time we were in store! My store only had original flavor on the shelf, but I will make sure to head back to get both favors the next time I go because both of my kiddos loved it.
We have been eating Gerber Lil' Beanies pool side, at the lake, in the car, while playing outside, as a snack, as a side item, and just about everywhere in between. Not only does my toddler love them, but my five-year-old daughter does too! I see many more stops by Kroger in our future.
What do you think of Gerber Lil' Beanies? Make sure to check them out!
