When you stay at home with young children all day, sometimes you lose yourself. You say things without thinking because the lack of social engagement has made you lose your filter. You adjust your bra not realizing that you haven't even tried to hide it from the next door neighbor. Or is this just me?

If there is one thing that all of us moms have in common whether you stay-at-home, work-at-home, or work outside the home, we need some me time. (And dads need it too.) How do you find your me time? Is your me time sneaking left over Halloween candy that you told the kids was 'all gone' months ago. Or do you tell the Hubby that you're going to fold clothes, but hide in the laundry room while you catch up on the newest season of Orange is the New Black? Been there. Done that.
Finding the me time in mom life can be hard, but it's so important. That's why Netflix wants to know, where is the strangest place that you have got your Netflix on.

I steal my me time every morning lol!! Now my son is waking up earlier and earlier though and stealing it!! I did make it through the whole newest season of OITNB!!
ReplyDeleteusually after the kiddo is sleeping....but then I usually stay up entirely too late! Ya just can't win.
ReplyDeleteI try to get up an hour before the children wake up and stay up three hours past their bedtime. I need that quiet time!
ReplyDeleteTV time at the end of the day is definitely my 'me' time! I need to catch up on some of these Netflix shows! I've been wanting to see Chelsea.
ReplyDeleteI try to get me time! So hard with a 15 month old though. My me time is the little bit of time I have after she goes to bed. Then it's hubby time. I need true me time sometimes though.
ReplyDeleteI usually get some me time while I'm working in our home office or very early in the morning after feeding our newborn.
ReplyDeletefinding time is hard but i do need to make time for myself.
ReplyDeleteIt is absolutely essential to make time for yourself! I love using some of my free time to watch a good show on Netflix. Also, I love your shirt.
ReplyDeleteMe Time is definitely difficult to fit in when you have little children. I kept to a schedule and found it after I put them to bed. Driving in the car was also huge for me.
ReplyDeleteME time was so precious to me, because I hardly had any!! With working, raising kids, taking care of hubby, the house, shopping, going to school plays, award ceremonies, teacher conferences, PTA, church, doctors, dentists, eye doctors, female exams, clothes shopping! I'm getting writer's cramp listing all these! My husband did try to help, but he was the only man in a house filled with women 😊 Poor guy! When my last daughter was in her teens, I found out I had cancer and have been battling it all these years! Pain also! Then Diabetes - I could go on, but I don't want to bore you. Everyone has some kind of drama! ILike my mom used to say "It's always something!" I've always wondered if this kind of lifestyle contributed to my illness?? Always find some me time & ENJOY!!
