This year I made a few resolutions and so far we have done a great job about keeping them. They are to cook at home more and to eat healthy. I have been meal planning and that helps because you know what you will be having for dinner most nights. I have been wanting to try a food subscription service. I recently had the opportunity to try an organic meal subscription service called Green Chef through Moms Meet. So I wanted to share that experience with you.
Green Chef is a USDA-certified organic meal kit delivery service. Green Chef offers weekly deliveries with all the essentials you need for nourishing dinners, including pre-measured, largely prepped ingredients, and chef-crafted recipes to get your family fed in just around 30 minutes or so. The recipes are so easy to follow as well. Members simply create an account, then pick dietary and delivery preferences.
They have multiple plan options for omnivore, carnivore, gluten-free, vegetarian, paleo, and vegan diets, so you can easily find dinners to fit your family’s needs. They even offer meal plans in both 2-person or family style. We chose the Carnivore Family Plan. We created Chicken Cassoulet the first night. I was a little nervous about preparing it, but the directions were easy to follow. I would have preferred a no bone chicken and wish this was an option. But it was a very yummy and easy to follow recipe. I had never had Radish before and ended up LOVING it.
Here's a list with all the options:
2-Person Plan (3 dinners a week for 2 people)
- Omnivore: Crave variety? This diverse, flexible menu has meat, seafood, and vegetarian dinners.
- Carnivore: Meat and seafood lovers, dig in. Every dinner includes a land or sea protein plus veggies.
- Gluten-Free: Always gluten-free and flavor-full, with meat, seafood, and vegetarian dinners.
- Vegetarian: More than just salads, every dinner makes veggies the star in unique, delicious ways.
- Paleo: Eat like an epicurean caveman. This paleo menu is rich in fresh produce and proteins.
- Vegan: Plant-based just got better. An innovative menu with natural, specialty ingredients.
Family Plan (2 dinners a week for a family of 4)
The second meal was our favorite! The Sweet and Sour Pork. I had never had a Broccoli-Edamame Salad before. It was different and something I definitely want to try and re-create again.
Each meal is labeled with a different color cap so you don't mix up ingredients. A few staple items were needed (like olive oil, salt, and pepper) to complete the meals. I love already knowing our meals (for at least two nights out of the week) were planned and I didn't have to worry about going to the grocery store or scouring the internet for a healthy meal that everyone in the family would enjoy.
Currently Green Chef has an amazing offer that I am taking advantage of with $50 off your first box. This deal is a no brainer. I save gas because I don't have to run out to the grocery store and I save SO MUCH TIME! Definitely going to subscribe my family for the future.

What do you think of meal kit delivery services like this? What do you think about eating organic? What do you think about GreenChef?
I received this product for free from Moms Meet, May Media Group LLC, who received it directly from the manufacturer. As a Moms Meet blogger, I agree to use this product and post my honest opinion on my blog. The opinions posted are my own.
My sister-in-law, my friend, and I were just talking about all the different options that are out there. This was one we had heard of, but didn't know much about. I was glad to see your review! I am worried though that it will cost a lot more than getting the ingredients myself - I know it would certainly save time, but I'm not sure I can afford it if it is dreadfully more expensive.
ReplyDeleteI just signed up for $9 because someone else had it in my area. I would still check it out.
