Pregnancy is a beautiful, miraculous occurrence, but let’s face it: it’s also extremely uncomfortable at times. From swollen feet to morning sickness and everything in between, carrying a child is certainly no picnic. According to the Sleep Foundation, “78% of women report more disturbed sleep during pregnancy than at other times.” It can be difficult enough to sleep while pregnant, and the last thing you need is your mattress adding to your discomfort and inability to sleep. Memory foam mattresses as well as heated mattresses provide many benefits for women during their nine months of pregnancy and beyond. Consider investing in supportive and comfortable OMF Mattresses for optimal rest and relaxation.

Memory Foam
Women often experience aches and pain when pregnant, and mattress type can help that.
There are many benefits of foam mattresses, like the Eight Mattress, for pregnant women.
Memory foam can shape itself to your body, so it can provide proper support. As your belly grows, your mattress will accommodate it. Memory foam absorbs that extra baby weight and distributes it evenly so you can sleep comfortably. Lower back pain is also common during pregnancy, and sleeping on memory foam can help to alleviate back pain since it provides proper support that is neither too firm nor too soft.
Of course, you want to protect your baby and make sure he or she is in the best health before they even enter the world. All four foam layers in Eight’s mattresses are CertiPUR-US certified, so you can rest comfortably knowing that you and your baby are not being exposed to harmful
chemicals.
The high density of the foam in Eight mattresses sets them apart from competitors. This foam allows you to get the most comfortable, undisturbed sleep. And with a baby on the way, you better take advantage of all the undisturbed sleep you can get now. Of course when the baby does come, the Eight foam mattress is ideal for nights when your little one inevitably ends up in your bed, since Eight’s foam mattress does not transfer movement.
One of the best mattress options for pregnant women that have become increasingly popular over the past few years is the adjustable bed base. Their ability to adjust different parts of the mattress to different heights allows pregnant women to set their beds to the perfect setting for their needs. With pregnant women experiencing new different aches and pains very often, it is essential that they can make active changes to their mattresses to maximize comfort.
There are several options if you are considering the adjustable route, such as generic and split adjustable bases. This will likely depend on if there is a second person sharing the bed who would enjoy different bed settings. While some options might be more expensive than others, an adjustable base is an amazing option for a pregnant woman.
Heated Mattress
One of the unique aspects of Eight’s Smart Mattress is that it has a heating feature that can be controlled separately for each side of the bed. Heat can also help relieve pregnancy aches and back and pelvis pain. By using the Eight app, you can set your bed to warm up before you sleep. The warming feature allows you to set the warmth level on each side of the bed individually using a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the warmest. Some women can feel cold in the early stages in their pregnancy due to high body temperature and/or changes in hormone levels. Snuggling up on a heated mattress in these stages can help that.
Eight’s heated, memory foam Smart Mattress can help improve your comfort during and beyond your pregnancy while not compromising the safety of you or your baby.

I have a memory form mattress and really like it.
ReplyDeleteI remember propping pillows around my big swollen belly just to get relief and comfort. Back then I had a hard mattress for my back.
ReplyDeleteIt was frustrating to have interrupted sleep before you have the baby and then again when your baby is born!! We have a posture pedic bed that goes up and down. The bed of my dreams!!
I had a horrible time trying to sleep while pregnant. It would have been nice to have Eight’s Smart Mattress. This sounds perfect for my husband and myself.
