I have been making my own coffee at home for years now. In fact, I never really liked coffee until I started making it myself and learned I could make it however I wanted. With the current state of our country and most everyone still staying home, many people are learning to make their own coffee at home. I am so excited to share a new eco-friendly and money saving option from Hamilton Beach.
I recently receive the Hamilton Beach The Scoop Single Serve Coffee Maker to review. This uniquely designed Coffee Maker will brew ground coffee in less than 90 seconds. Brew options include eight ounces or a 14-ounce travel mug as well as regular or bold settings without the use of pods or disposable filters. Making this more eco-friendly and more financially friendly as well since ground coffee tends to be cheaper. I love how small and compact it is too. It is the perfect size for us to take along on our camping trips in our camper. Would also make a great gift idea for a college student if they are living in a dorm.
Aside from its versatility in using inexpensive coffee grounds to brew a great-tasting cup, this Hamilton Beach coffeemaker is designed for ultra-simple preparation in three straight forward steps: scoop, place and brew! It features a steel mesh scoop for filtering freshly ground coffee and comes with a built-in, adjustable stand that flips to accommodate a standard-size cup or a taller travel mug. All in all, this coffeemaker offers affordability and no fuss with lots of options. There's no need for extra equipment or high-tech buttons.
I did notice a few grounds got through to the under side of the scoop, but they didn't get to my coffee. I like how easy that insert was to take out a clean as well. The bottom part (under the coffee cup) is easily removable and movable as well. I have been looking for something like this to take on our camping trips, but I am really excited to leave less of a carbon footprint by not using as much plastic with pods.

I like that this specifically uses coffee grounds. Very neat feature, since usually with regular single serve coffee makers, you 'can' use regular coffee grounds, but they're sometimes a pain.
