Cooking at home has been challenging. I cooked at home before and meal prepped for my entire family, but there is just something about being forced to do it day in and day out. My husband takes his lunch to work everyday because not only does it save him time during his lunch break, but it saves us money as well. I was making him the same day everyday because it was easy on my part, but the poor guy (without complaint) was getting bored of it.
This post was created in partnership with Doorstep Meals. All opinions are my own.
I was recently introduced to an up and coming brand called Doorstep Meals. Delicious already prepared meals are delivered to your door and they can go in the fridge or freezer depending on when you would like to eat them. There were a ton of great options to choose from that were on point with our low carb, high protein, low calorie lifestyle and my husband said every dish he has tried has been delicious. And their meals contain no preservatives as well. You may also find meal prep delivery services in Miami and other major cities that may cater to specific dietary needs or preferences. With their convenient delivery service, meal planning has never been easier.
I liked that when you are ordering you can select which meals you would like to receive. We received a variety of 12 different meals for us to try. They were super easy to make since you can just pop them in the microwave (unwrapping them from plastic first of course). Plus meal is labeled not only telling you what it is, but the calorie count as well. This made it easy for my husband to enter the details into his MyFitnessPal app (he use to use Carb Manager).
Unique to Doorstep Meals, they have partnered with one of the country's leading medical doctors, Dr. Alex Smithers, to create the Healthy Life System. The Healthy Life System includes their low calorie meals and chocolate chip Pre-Bio cookies. Pre-portioned meals are a great way to stay on track with your nutrition goals. For us, being healthy isn't a diet, it's a lifestyle. That was the only way we were going to lose the weight and keep it off. Doorstep Meals included foods that my husband actually likes, but still low in calories. Some examples are Spaghetti & Meatballs for 420 calories, Chicken Parm for 395 calories, Quinoa Chicken Bowl for 305 calories, Surf & Turf for 305 calories, and Jerk Chicken & Mango Salsa for 3-5 calories.
These look really good. Perfect for busy lives!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a great option for those crazy busy days. I would try the cheesy pasta first.
ReplyDeleteIt all looks really good, but I think the first one I would try would be spaghetti and meatballs.
ReplyDeleteThis would have made my life and my kids lives a whole lot healthier. Plus easier for me and my husband. He tried to help whenever he could, but he worked all day, like me! Those meals look really good! The surf and turf looks like it was made from a chef at a top notch restaurant! I pinned this! Thank you for sharing! Enjoy those delicious dinners!!
