The easiest dessert to make. These Pretzel Hugs are the perfect Valentine's Day treat to share with someone you love. I loved this the most because it is the best of both sweet and salty, plus you can make so much at once to share with the ones you love!
We made these homemade cake pops back in October that are super easy to make as well and you could surprise your love you with some of those as well. They are for sure a crowd pleaser, but with 2022 going the way it is going, I am more for going the easier route.
2. Arrange pretzels on a parchment lined baking sheet for easy cleanup.
3. Top each pretzel with an unwrapped Hershey's Hug candy.
4. Place the baking sheet in the oven for 4-6 minutes, just until the candy starts to melt. They should look shiny and soft, but you don't want to go too far, or they will liquify and you will have a mess!
5. Remove from oven and let sit for 1 minute (they continue to soften inside while they sit). Then press an M&M into the center of each hug. If the hug is still too firm, pop the baking sheet back in the oven for another 1-2 minutes, then try again.
6. Let the candy set until hardened again before serving. They will do this at room temperature, but you can speed up the process by sticking the baking sheet in the fridge for 10-15 minutes.
I have a quick video I made on Facebook down below that goes through the entire process. And although I made these for Christmas, I am going to make them for Valentine's Day and just switch up the colors.
These look so good and my kids would love mak,ing them and eating them too. For my son who can only eat gf it would be easy to do gf products to make them too.
These sound super good and something the entire family would love this Valentine's Day.
