10 Ideas To Bring Your Community Back Together Once Lockdown Is Over

If there is something that has saved the local economy during the Covid-19 pandemic is the community. Neighbors have come together to help each other, support local shops, and offer help to the people who needed it the most. While lockdown rules and social distancing restrictions are still in place, the vaccines' rollouts allow us to start dreaming about a new normal. At the same time, once it is safe to gather outdoors again, it is crucial to encourage the community to come back together.

This is not only to propel the local economy and limit the damages of Covid-19 but also to strengthen personal bonds and relationships. At the same time, it is important for your community to be ready in advance and be prepared to launch new initiatives. Here are ten ideas for your neighbor or local community to start thinking about now - so you can make the most out of the upcoming summer!

Big Apple Circus {Wonderful Wednesday LINKY}

If you follow us on social media, then you know that we had the opportunity to go to the 40th Anniversary Big Apple Circus Debut in Alpharetta, GA as part of a media event. Tickets are still available for purchase. We had a wonderful time starting with the introduction by Ringmaster Ty McFarlan to the standing ovation. Our jaws dropped multiple times. We laughed thanks to Mr. Joel & Skip and the entire show kept us on the edge of our seats. We loved every minute of it and I was so glad that I received this opportunity to share with my kids.
Here some pictures I took during the first act. I wasn't great about taking pictures during the second act, but there's some great video of the highlights.

Experience the Thrill of the Holidays at Six Flags Over Georgia's Holiday In The Park

I love experiencing everything the holidays have to offer. Six Flags Over Georgia has open it's doors for an extended season for the third year in a row to bring you more of your favorite attractions with a Christmas spin. My family recently had the opportunity to check out Six Flag's Holiday in the Park at a Media and Blogger Event. We received complimentary parking and entry, food vouchers, line hopper vouchers, and other swag as well.
The event was set to start at 4 pm (Holiday in the Park hours varies but 4-10 is the average norm), but my husband had to work until 4. We made it to Six Flags around 5:15 so we didn't miss the tree lighting that started at 6pm.

Cruising with Kiddos: Our Anniversary Trip to Mexico

As some of you may know, our 10 year wedding Anniversary was July 15th. And to celebrate, we decided to go on a Carnival Cruise because we got married on one originally. I think if you are looking for an inexpensive, but beautiful way to get married then a cruise is that way to go. My husband and I were 21 and 23 when we got married, my parents were on limited incomes, and we had to pay for most of it on our own. We didn't give ourselves time to save up money because we were two crazy kids in love and wanted to get married as quickly as possible. I do not regret a thing.

Cruising with Kiddos: Our Anniversary Trip to Mexico

Anyways, because my in-laws' anniversary is the day after ours and they are our only reliable sitters right now, plus we wanted to go on a five day cruise so leaving our kids with anyone that long wasn't even on our radar, we decided to make our anniversary trip into a family vacation. We had been thinking about going on cruise for a while and so at the beginning of this year we decided to make the leap (and down payments) because we had the extra money. We also bought a bunch of Carnival gift cards from Kroger when they ran their 4X fuel points sale to save even more because the gift cards can be used to pay off any balance. We decided to book a five day Carnival cruise that left out of Mobile, AL and went to Costa Maya and Cozumel. We would also advise you pay your tourist taxes before you travel - it makes things a lot easier.

Here is a list of top things to do with kids in NYC:

Family Fun at Day Out with Thomas

My son is very much obsessed with trains. I think he loves them because they are loud and go fast. No one really introduced him to the obsession. He would just see them while we were driving and ever since he has been fascinated with them.

We have some friends who has a son about the same age who is equally if not more so obsessed with trains. So his mom found the Day Out with Thomas event where you could ride a real Thomas train!

Dive Bomber at Six Flags White Water

Thank you to Six Flags White Water for inviting us out to a media day event.

Summer is HERE in Georgia and we recently headed to Six Flags White Water for an awesome VIP media day event! My husband was on vacation last week, so we brought the whole family to enjoy all that Six Flags White Water had to offer including their newest AND tallest water slide ever - Dive Bomber!

I am extremely nervous when it comes to heights. I wasn't always this way, but it seems to get worse the older I get. I really wanted to ride Dive Bomber, so when I could give a good first person review. This slide features an enclosed, clear capsule with a trap door that releases riders for a zero-gravity experience, a tower approximately 100 feet above the lush tree line of the park, a nearly 90-degree drop, and speeds of more than 40 miles per hour.
