As some of you may know, we bought a new construction home a few years ago. I have never been a decorated, but I wanted to make our house feel like home since nothing is painted and it is still basic in many ways. I have always been a frugal person. So I have been loving farmhouse décor. Now I am not obsessed with it and there are a few details I could live without, but I love using mason jars for everything and the simplicity of it. Since we have moved in our new home, I have been trying to upgrade our décor a little at a time.


Recently I received some bamboo shelves from Songmics that I decided to hang in my guest bathroom to add some life into that room. It is used quite frequently so it needed some easy to give it that little extra. You can use these shelves as free standing, but I chose to hang them.

I love decorating my house this time of year. I love adding to my décor collection each year with new items. My mother-in-law helped many years ago to get my Christmas décor started. There are six grandbabies in our family. My husband's sister has four kids and we have two. Getting everyone together to take a decent picture can be a tedious task. But I really wanted to give my mother-in-law something that had representation of all her grandbabies on it.

We bought our house a year ago this month. I still can't believe we have been living here that long. All the boxes have officially been unpacked, which is a HUGE accomplishment for us considering we never completely unpacked at our old house and we were there for almost nine years. But the main thing I have been focusing on now is decorating. I will eventually want to paint everything since there is just builder's grade paint on our walls now, but that will have to wait.

I love display my family as décor. Like for real, y'all. I love my family and I think they are gorgeous. I love canvas prints, metal prints, and I recently discovered FoamCorePrints.

Since we moved into our new house back in September, I have been exploring my creative side (while maintaining a budget) and learning more about home décor. I never really took the time before. Not that I didn't want to, But I would simply get overwhelmed by it all. We were in our last year for nine years and we plan on this house possibly being our forever home. We absolutely love it. So we have time. I don't have to get every new décor piece that I see and I don't have to get them all at once.

So since Spring is in full bloom, I thought I would share my Spring Home Décor with all of you. Maybe give some inspiration and hopefully I will be able to share many more home décor posts with you.
