How to Unsubscribe From Emails

 I have been having a few people comment on my blog saying that they are having trouble unsubscribing, the issue is usually coming from non-Google emails subscribers. I have always used a RSS feed called FeedBurner to share my posts through emails. They are just sent as I post, which I understand some people may not enjoy. I also understand that if you only subscribed as part of a giveaway and you no longer enter them, then you may want to unsubscribe. Or you may no longer enjoy my content, no hard feelings. Anyway, I wanted to send this out and hopefully the ones who are having issues will see this and can finally successfully unsubscribe.


How to Unsubscribe From FeedBurner Emails


If you don't have a Google email, then you should see a unsubscribe at the top instead of at the bottom. It should be (at least in Yahoo) above the email address lines. This is the only way I know how to unsubscribe. If you are still having issues, then you may need to contact Google directly about this issue. I apologize for the inconvenience, but there is not way for me to manually go in and take you off the mailing list. I have had more blog for over 10 years now and have since drifted away from using FeedBurner.


When I click unsubscribe, I see the image below. And have successfully unsubscribed to my own site. If you do not see this screen below, then you may have to contact Google directly. 




As of now the only other way to subscribe to my posts (which is more efficient if you like everything in one nice email) is BlogLovin. Thank you for following along all these years and I'm sorry again for the inconvenience.

If you wish to be unsubscribed from my FeedBurner email list, I have figured out how to remove you manually. But to do this, you must email me (diana.n.chastain@gmail.com) as I can't see your email address when you comment here. Thank you so much!

How to Become a Product Review Blogger

People ask me all the time "how did I get into product reviewing and making money blogging". My journey into this job (that I love) is unconventional. I started just keeping track of my pregnancy with my daughter. While on bed rest, I had heard that you could make money blogging, but it was a penny a word type stuff and I didn't feel that was worth it for me. I took a break for a while from my blog because it was hard to keep up with it and a newborn. I picked it up again when my daughter was almost two. But since I was a stay-at-home mom (with no car for 6 months), I started trying to connect with other bloggers, so I could feel a sense of community and for some adult interaction. And I noticed other bloggers getting products to review. So I pitched one. I pitched a lot actually, but the first company that took a chance on me was Buddy Fruits. And since then this wonderful endeavor has opened up so many opportunities for me.


There are a few things you should note if you are going to try to get into this business:
1. You have to be able to meet personal deadlines.
2. You have to be able to follow through on any commitments you make.
3. You have to understand that this isn't just about "getting free stuff". It's a LOT of work.

I have been blogging "as work" for over 2 years now and I have learned a LOT along the way. When I first started trying to make money on my blog back was back in 2010. I signed up through all these different companies and websites not knowing what I was looking for and never found anything that I felt was worth my time. But when I started trying to expand my blog in 2012, it was more for hobby and then I thought I could review a few items here and there because I saw other bloggers doing just that. So I reached out to a few companies. And it worked. But that's a post for another day. And then I found out that I could really make money, if I invested more money into my blog.
