The usage of modern box opener tools has been on the rise as an essential item to have in your kit. Having Fun In The Kitchen With Your Kids
Wednesday, January 22, 2020
When you think of cooking with your children, you might think of all the mess involved and the time spent preparing and then cleaning up. Of course, It is much easier to get the cooking done yourself, but you will miss out on a fabulous bonding and learning experience with your children. Not only will you be passing on a valuable skill to your children- teaching them how to nourish themselves and other people, but you will also be creating memories in the kitchen that they will probably never forget.
Unfortunately, cooking from scratch is a tradition that has been somewhat forgotten in our fast-food culture. The ability to cook fresh ingredients and create dishes from scratch is a skill that our grandparents would have had, but increasingly is disappearing from society. IT is important to maintain our food culture, and to be able to be self-sufficient in the kitchen.
Upgrade Your Fridge with LG's InstaView Door-in-Door from Best Buy
Sunday, October 6, 2019
This post is sponsored by BestBuy. All opinions are my own.
Our fridge is on it's last leg. It is now over eight years old and we have been considering an upgrade. We bought it right after we had our daughter when our old fridge was leaking. The ice maker has been out for a few months now and we have attempted to fix it to no avail. We have also been forced to keep turning the temperature down, but sometimes the freezer still isn't cold enough. So we have been researching different fridges at Best Buy, we have been finding so many great features available now.
My favorite is LG’s newest InstaView™ Door-in-Door® refrigerator. This fridge has it ALL. It is perfect for the ultimate home entertainer. LG brought the hottest beverage trend to this fridge thanks to its dual ice makers with Craft Ice™ that automatically create crushed, cubed and LG’s exclusive slow-melting round ice on demand, for upscale, craft drinks at home. This makes beverages taste their best longer. We have an open floor plan where the kitchen and living room are combined making this space a great place for entertaining. So this fridge would upgrade our space to the perfect place for guests.
Cook's Companion Wonder Pot Review & Giveaway
Tuesday, February 21, 2017
I have mentioned that one of my new year resolutions was to cook at home more. And so far, I have been sticking to it, but there are times when I just don't feel like cooking. I want to be able to whip up a quick, delicious meal that my family will love without doing to much work. I want to be able to just throw stuff into a pot and go.
I was recently introduced to Cook's Companion Digital Wonder Pot through Phoenix Trading Company. The Wonder Pot is a part rice cooker, part steam cooker and even does soups and baking. It is very easy to use and clean. It has a ton of great settings. The digital controls are simple to program and feature an “Automatic Warm” setting that allows you keep your food warm during the day so your meal is fresh and ready to eat when you want it.

Oster Pro 1200 Plus Food Processor Review
Thursday, October 27, 2016
I have always been a huge fan of smoothies for breakfast. You can prep them in advance, then just throw everything in and you can have a healthy breakfast in just a few minutes. We use to have a food processor then lightning struck the outlet and it was fried. Lesson learned, don't leave appliances plugged in. Then I received a baby food steamer and processor to review and made my own baby food for a while. I decided to get rid of it when we moved because I figured I had my blender, but it broke in the move.
So when I was sent the Oster Pro 1200 Plus Food Processor to review, I was so excited. It is by far the nicest blender I have ever owned and it includes a food processor! Plus all of the settings are super easy so I can sauces, soups, baby food purees, smoothies, frozen drinks, and so much more with ease!

Tuscan Sausage & Kale Ragu with Butternut Squash Fettuccine Recipe #VeryHealthy
Tuesday, April 28, 2015
I received complimentary products to share this recipe. All opinions are my own.
I recently received the Very Healthy Spiral Slicer from Varietyland to review and some Tuttorosso products, so I thought I would recreate this recipe. It was a little more complicated than I tend to cook, but I was able to do it. t was also a little on the pricey side, but so are healthier meal options. My picture looks NOTHING like the original, but this meal was still super yummy. Hubby wants to add it to our regular recipes...I said, "We'll see."
