Reasons to Make Six Flags Part of Your Holiday Traditions

Saturday, my family and I were invited to a media event at Six Flags Over Georgia to celebrate Holiday in the Park making a come back. We have enjoyed this for years and I am so glad they are bringing it back. It was such a wonderful experience to get invited back and I am so grateful that everything is starting to open back up again.

6 Reasons to Visit Six Flags Over Georgia Holiday In The Park

We have been enjoying Holiday In The Park at Six Flags Over Georgia for the past two years now! My family LOVES going and it has become an awesome family tradition! Here are six reasons I think you should visit and make it a part of your holiday traditions too!

5 Reasons to Visit Six Flags Over Georgia Fright Fest

The hubby and I got invited to experience Six Flag Over Georgia's Fright Fest. I was so excited because I haven't been since I was a kid. The recommended age was 12+, so we decided to make a date night of it.

We experienced a behind the scenes experience and witnessed how each ghoulish creature is created by a team of make up artists. My husband's goal the entire night was to make sure I was scared and he would jump at me. It was actually a fun bonding experience and we felt like kids again. It was such a fun idea for a date night too!

Twisted Cyclone Blogger Media Day Recap

If you follow me on Instagram then you know that last week, my family and I were invited to a media day at Six Flags Over Georgia to celebrate the opening of rejuvenated "Twisted Cyclone". It is has been updated with a combination or wood and steel into one adrenaline-pumping coaster unlike any other at Six Flags Over Georgia.

Combining the traditional wood structure with a steel track, Twisted Cyclone sends guests upside down through three wicked inversions. Twisted Cyclone intertwines the best of both worlds- a classic wooden coaster with a modern, steel track for a hair-raising, over-the-top thrill ride. I have love the updates they have made. It is such a smooth ride and so much more fun than ever before!

Experience the Thrill of the Holidays at Six Flags Over Georgia's Holiday In The Park

I love experiencing everything the holidays have to offer. Six Flags Over Georgia has open it's doors for an extended season for the third year in a row to bring you more of your favorite attractions with a Christmas spin. My family recently had the opportunity to check out Six Flag's Holiday in the Park at a Media and Blogger Event. We received complimentary parking and entry, food vouchers, line hopper vouchers, and other swag as well.
The event was set to start at 4 pm (Holiday in the Park hours varies but 4-10 is the average norm), but my husband had to work until 4. We made it to Six Flags around 5:15 so we didn't miss the tree lighting that started at 6pm.

JUSTICE LEAGUE: Battle for Metropolis Opens at Six Flags Over Georgia {Media Day Recap}

If you follow me on Instagram then you know that last week, my family and I were invited to a media day at Six Flags Over Georgia to celebrate the opening of "JUSTICE LEAGUE: Battle for Metropolis". It is the only ride of its kind in the Southeast. It's an indoor, interactive, action thrill ride with 4D effects for the entire family to experience together and features iconic DC Comics Super Heroes and Super Villains like Batman, Wonder Woman, and the Joker. It was also voted one of the most anticipated theme park rides for 2017!

I can't even describe how excited we were for this event.

World's First DC Super Friends at Six Flags Over Georgia

My daughter is out of school and we have already been enjoying a ton of summer fun! If you follow me on social media, then you might have witnessed the awesomeness that is Six Flags Over Georgia's World's First Super Friends area. We were invited out for a special media Grand Opening Celebration. It was a hot day, but we had a blast experiencing the new rides.

Rides Included:

Six Flags Over Georgia {Wordless Wednesday LINKY}

Thursday we went to Six Flags Over Georgia, just my husband, my daughter, and me. It was through my husband's work. My daughter rode her first "roller coaster". She wanted to ride anything she was tall enough for. She was 41' inches and lot of rides were 42'. She was bummed, but it was a good opportunity to teach her about the reasons there are some rules and this time it was safety! It was a very HOT day, but such a great time!

Dive Bomber at Six Flags White Water

Thank you to Six Flags White Water for inviting us out to a media day event.

Summer is HERE in Georgia and we recently headed to Six Flags White Water for an awesome VIP media day event! My husband was on vacation last week, so we brought the whole family to enjoy all that Six Flags White Water had to offer including their newest AND tallest water slide ever - Dive Bomber!

I am extremely nervous when it comes to heights. I wasn't always this way, but it seems to get worse the older I get. I really wanted to ride Dive Bomber, so when I could give a good first person review. This slide features an enclosed, clear capsule with a trap door that releases riders for a zero-gravity experience, a tower approximately 100 feet above the lush tree line of the park, a nearly 90-degree drop, and speeds of more than 40 miles per hour.

We Took a 3 Year Old to Six Flags!

For Hubby's work we got the opportunity to go to Six Flags for a discounted rate on June 26th. And we decided to take our 3 year old. You may remember me taking her last year. For $25 per person we got entry into the park, free parking, and a buffet from 4-7 pm. The park was also closed to everyone except us from 9pm to midnight. We could have taken her last year, but Hubby didn't think she would be able to ride anything. So when I got to take her for the Wet Ones blogger event, he knew we could this year. I told Hubby that even if we can't ride some of the rides with her in the kiddie area, it is worth it to see her face.

We started our trip on the train and then stood in the rain waiting to ride Monster Mansion. SweetPea didn't like it as much as she did last year. Then we headed over to the kiddie area where I was bummed the Willie E. Coyote "roller coaster" wasn't working because SweetPea would have been tall enough this year. But she made a friend and had fun regardless.

Sweet Pea's First Theme Park #WetOnes

I wrote this review while participating in a campaign for Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Wet Ones. I received free admission to Six Flags, attended an informational and complimentary luncheon, and received a gift bag and promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.

Saturday started out with me waking up very excited and Sweet Pea in the best of moods. I was actually nervous because although I love attending blogger events and was looking forward to the Wet Ones Event at Six Flags Over Georgia, I was worried about making the hour and a half drive with just my two year old.

But never the less, we packed up the car and headed to Austell. I honestly went back forth about accepting this opportunity. I love meeting new bloggers, but SweetPea is a bit small for Six Flags - or so I thought.

Six Flags Wet Ones Blogger Event - Meeting Characters; Tweety, Daffy, Taz, and Bugs Bunny

We met our Wet Ones group by the front fountain. Mom Central CEO Stacy DeBroff attended the event and she was a bubbly ball of energy! She made the day so much fun! We got to take some pictures with characters. Sweet Pea was a little taken aback by them, but she was a trooper. Then we got to ride the Six Flags Railroad. It was the first attraction built and originally went around the park. After, we headed to ride the Monster Mansion. It's different than I remember, but so much fun!

Six Flags Rides for Toddlers

After Monster Mansion, where SweetPea was again a trooper, we headed to Bugs Bunny World and she rode a Convoy Ride, that was perfect for toddlers! We then had lunch in the famous Carrot Club. Afterwards, we had cotton candy at this cool playground where our Wet Ones sure came in handy! They cleaned up SweetPea's sticky fingers and 99.9% of her germs! Wet Ones have been so helpful since we received them. I used them at the lake where washing your hands isn't accessible and I didn't have to worry about her being clean.

I had so much fun hanging out with Amber from MyThreeBittles all day. I also got to see Joyce from MommyTalkShow and Meghan from JaMonkey again. SweetPea had so much fun and was very exhausted. She feel asleep in her stroller and then stayed asleep through our Tram ride back to the car! Thanks Mom Central, Six Flags, and Wet Ones for such a wonderful day!
