School is rapidly approaching the end and what are your plans this summer? If you are like my family, we vacation during the spring or fall so the summer is wide open. My children are just now getting old enough to participate in summer camps. The reason I personally like the idea of summer camps, is because I like for my children to stick to some sort of schedule and, honestly, get out of the house for a few hours.
Since my family is so new to summer camps, please let me know what summer camps you have attended and I will look into them. I want to have an ongoing summer camp list that people can use and find informative.

Summer camp! Do you have plans to send your little one to either a day camp or spend the night camp? I remember sleep away camp when I was growing up. I was able to go two years in a row and it was so much fun. Packing was probably the hardest part. We didn't have a washer or dryer on site, and it was a two week stay. Plus, it was in Georgia and no air conditioning, so we had to pack a LOT if we didn't want to wear sweaty clothes multiple times. LABEL EVERYTHING! Use stickers, permanent marker, stamps, sew-on labels, iron-on labels, etc. This is the MOST important thing. We had a kid on our trip that didn't bring half of their things and was just use to "borrowing" whatever was around at their house. So, they "borrowed" someone else's toothbrush and my hairbrush until we told one of our camp leaders and they ran to the store to grab them some extras. The next year I packed an extra toothbrush just in case. But the kid didn't touch anyone's items if they had a name on it, so label everything!
