My Epic Play Date!

My Epic Play Date

I must be CRAZY, but I would love to take my family on a road trip. We would go to a Braves game, maybe a theme park, and of course end the day, preferably, beach side.

When I was in eighth grade, my whole grade went on a "Georgia Studies Tour". We went and saw the Okefenokee Swamp, Savannah, St. Simon's Island, and multiple civil war battle grounds along the way. I never realized how much there was to do in the state that I live in and so much that was so close to home! I would love to take my family to experience our great state the way that I did.

My husband and I went to the same middle and high school. We are two years apart in age, so we never met each other. His class didn't get to go on this tour and he has regretted it. I would love for him to get the opportunity to experience something so "epic".

My husband and I enjoy learning through our expeditions. And with his busy life at work, we sure could use some quality, enriching time together as a family of three.

That is why I love this post over at Dooce. Her family had the opportunity to celebrate her son's birthday by exploring a "part of the state where magnificent stone arches formed over millions of years disrupt the landscape in an otherworldly orange". The pictures are beautiful.

Isn't the video amazing? Just recently Hubby and I went with the whole extended family to Zoo Atlanta. And I'm so glad my husband and I stop to take time to "smell the roses".

If you could go on an "Epic Play Date", where would you go? What would you do?

I was selected for this opportunity as a member of Clever Girls Collective and the content and opinions expressed here are all my own.

Housewife Bootcamp: My Least Favorite Household Chore

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Cascade. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.

What's your least favorite household chore? Since I figured out my laundry situation, my least favorite chore is always going to be emptying the dish washer (and it's my husband's too). Thank goodness I have a dish washer though because although the picture below is a common occurrence in our household, I couldn't imagine if I actually had to clean them by hand.

With all of these dirty dishes, I despise when I have to wash most of them by hand after they have left the dish washer!
And then insert Cascade Platinum Pacs.

Cascade Platinum Pacs deliver the most powerful clean available from Cascade while simultaneously helping to maintain the sparkling look of your clean dishwasher interior. They feature an advanced triple action recipe that is specially designed to leave dishware virtually spot-free and help prevent the build-up of hard-water film on dishwasher walls.

Why do YOU need Cascade Platinum Pacs?

Powers away tough, 24 hour stuck-on food

Eliminates the need to pre-wash dishes

Helps maintain the look of new machines and helps prevent additional hard-water build-up

Delivers exceptional dishware shine

Presentation & Preparation

Now, more than ever, people eat with their eyes, and the evidence is all over sites like Facebook and Instagram. With that in mind, Top Chef judge and editor of Food+Wine magazine, Gail Simmons, has partnered with Cascade to discuss why presentation is just as important as preparation. She’s encouraging everyone to “keep their presentation sparkling with Cascade Platinum, which keeps dishes perfect for anytime entertaining and impromptu guests.” To do that, you’ll need to know the correct way to load a dishwasher as seen in the video below…

Want to learn more about Cascade? Check out Cascade's Facebook page. Also make sure to check out Cascade's “My Platinum” Instagram contest. It’s a four week contest where fans are encouraged to upload photos according to weekly themes. Visit the contest page for information on how to enter and submit images. Each week, TWO contestants will be selected to receive a brand new Whirlpool dishwasher and ONE grand prize winner will receive a Platinum kitchen make-over. Be sure to register in addition to upload the photo with the #MyPlatinum hashtag and also tag @MyCascade.
