Sweet Pea's First Theme Park #WetOnes

I wrote this review while participating in a campaign for Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Wet Ones. I received free admission to Six Flags, attended an informational and complimentary luncheon, and received a gift bag and promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.

Saturday started out with me waking up very excited and Sweet Pea in the best of moods. I was actually nervous because although I love attending blogger events and was looking forward to the Wet Ones Event at Six Flags Over Georgia, I was worried about making the hour and a half drive with just my two year old.

But never the less, we packed up the car and headed to Austell. I honestly went back forth about accepting this opportunity. I love meeting new bloggers, but SweetPea is a bit small for Six Flags - or so I thought.

Six Flags Wet Ones Blogger Event - Meeting Characters; Tweety, Daffy, Taz, and Bugs Bunny

We met our Wet Ones group by the front fountain. Mom Central CEO Stacy DeBroff attended the event and she was a bubbly ball of energy! She made the day so much fun! We got to take some pictures with characters. Sweet Pea was a little taken aback by them, but she was a trooper. Then we got to ride the Six Flags Railroad. It was the first attraction built and originally went around the park. After, we headed to ride the Monster Mansion. It's different than I remember, but so much fun!

Six Flags Rides for Toddlers

After Monster Mansion, where SweetPea was again a trooper, we headed to Bugs Bunny World and she rode a Convoy Ride, that was perfect for toddlers! We then had lunch in the famous Carrot Club. Afterwards, we had cotton candy at this cool playground where our Wet Ones sure came in handy! They cleaned up SweetPea's sticky fingers and 99.9% of her germs! Wet Ones have been so helpful since we received them. I used them at the lake where washing your hands isn't accessible and I didn't have to worry about her being clean.

I had so much fun hanging out with Amber from MyThreeBittles all day. I also got to see Joyce from MommyTalkShow and Meghan from JaMonkey again. SweetPea had so much fun and was very exhausted. She feel asleep in her stroller and then stayed asleep through our Tram ride back to the car! Thanks Mom Central, Six Flags, and Wet Ones for such a wonderful day!

Protecting Against the Summer Sun in Style {For Mom}

I received Firmoo.com sunglasses for free to facilitate my review, all opinions are my own.

Protecting Yourself From UV Rays in style

Summer is in full force here in Georgia and although it has been raining more than usual for this time of year, it is still important to protect yourself against the summer sun's harsh UV rays even if there is an overcast. And as moms, we try to still feel sexy and stylish when be keeping safety a priority. Here are some keys points to remember when you are out in the sun this summer.

- Slip on a cover. When you are out in the sun, wear clothing to protect as much skin as possible. Clothes provide different levels of UV protection, depending on many factors. Long-sleeved shirts, long pants, or long skirts cover the most skin and are the most protective. Dark colors generally provide more protection than light colors. A tightly woven fabric protects better than loosely woven clothing. Dry fabric is generally more protective than wet fabric. Covers come in some many styles and colors. You can buy any to match your bathing suit and don't forget some cute flip-flops or wedges to match! :D Be aware that covering up doesn’t block out all UV rays. If you can see light through a fabric, UV rays can get through, too.

- Slop on sunscreen. (And remember to re-apply.) Duh, right? But it’s important to know that sunscreen does not provide total protection against all UV rays. Therefore, a sunscreen should not be used as a way to prolong your time in the sun. Even with proper sunscreen use, some rays get through, which is why using other forms of sun protection is also important. Also remember that some makeups include sunscreen, they may not be the right amount of UV protection you need. Also make sure when choosing a sunscreen product, be sure to read the label before you buy. Sunscreens with broad spectrum protection (against UVA and UVB rays) and with sun protection factor (SPF) values of 30 or higher are recommended. The SPF number is the level of protection the sunscreen provides against UVB rays − a higher number means more protection.

- Slap on a hat. A hat with at least a 2- to 3-inch brim all around is ideal because it protects areas that are often exposed to intense sun, such as the ears, eyes, forehead, nose, and scalp. A dark, non-reflective underside to the brim can also help lower the amount of UV rays reaching the face from reflective surfaces such as water. A baseball cap protects the front and top of the head but not the neck or the ears, where skin cancers commonly develop. Straw hats are not as protective as hats made of tightly woven fabric.

- Wrap on sunglasses to protect the eyes and sensitive skin around them. UV-blocking sunglasses are important for protecting the delicate skin around the eyes, as well as the eyes themselves. Research has shown that long hours in the sun without protecting your eyes increase your chances of developing some eye diseases. I love my Firmoo.com sunglasses for the purposes of feeling stylish and protecting my eyes from the sun.

I love the way Firmoo.com Glasses look. I love that you can get them to fit your prescription needs. They are easy to order and came very fast once processed.

Looking For A Unique Baby Shower Gift? #Mustachifier

I was provided a Mustachifier to provide this review. All opinions are my own.

Mustaches are the new thing. There’s nothing better, cuter, and funnier than the new Mustachifier for that new man in your life! The Mustachifier is just that - a mustache pacifier, which comes in 3 different styles, The Cowboy, The Gentleman, and The Ladies Man. You can even get “The Full Monty” which includes all 3!

Mustachifier

Aren’t they just the cutest baby item you have ever seen. I received The Gentleman to review, and yes I have a girl, but who says girls can’t use a Mustachifier?? I was impressed with the quality of this, the mustache is nice and secure and won’t come off, so you don’t have to worry about baby choking on it. My daughter is also passed the pacifier stage, but she loved "pretending" she was still a baby. :)

Mustachifier Review

This is definitely a cool and unique baby gift that I will be giving to the next friend I know to have a little boy. Could you just image?! What about a mustache baby shower theme? That would be absolutely adorable! My friend Kerry over at OhSoAmelia blogged about some other ideas you could use. You can purchase these online at Mustachifier, each pacifier is $9.99 or you can buy all 3 for $29.95 with free shipping.

Check out the wonderful features of this great product:

• 100% BPA free pacifier
