It's Christmas in July! And I wanted to talk to you today about Ugly Christmas Sweater parties and matching family Christmas jammies? What are you thoughts? I always have so much fun matching my kiddos' pajamas and they actually love it too! I have personally never been to an Ugly Christmas Sweater party, but I have always wanted to. Our friends have decided to start a tradition of getting together every year for some sort of holiday party whether it is November, December, or even January!

The reality is we don't get together as much as we use to, but we miss each other so much. So fun parties are a great way for us to have family friendly fun! I was recently contact about UglyChristmasSweater.com and showcasing some of their cute onesies and pajamas. They had so much to choose from; funny, traditional, even personalized butt flaps! Too funny! 

I have been losing weight and trying to feel more confident in this new body. I am learning that weight loss is a huge mental game more than I ever thought it would be. And it's more than be mentally strong enough to avoid old habits, I have days where I feel curvy and gorgeous then I have days where I feel frumpy. The scale hasn't changed, but my mental state for that day has.

Something that has been helping me embrace my new body everyday is getting new clothes for myself and dressing up. So when they reached out to me to pick out something and give my honest review, I was excited to see what they had to offer.

My friends have been getting together more frequently during the holidays. It can still be hard to get everyone together especially since most of us are married with children, but we still feel it is important to spend time together. This year we did our first Thanksgiving and for the past few years we have been getting together for a Christmas/New Years shindig. This year, I suggestion we do an Ugly Christmas Sweater party because honestly? Themed parties are so MUCH FUN!

I personally love the variety to choose from at UglyChristmasSweater.com. Whatever you like, they have something for you. Rick and Morty, a variety of Disney, plenty of different Christmas movies, etc. Plus they have onesies, leggings, and more on top of sweater options. They even have ones that light too.

I have two passions going into this parenting gig. The first is that I want my daughter to believe that she can be anything she wants as long as she works hard for it. Second, I want her to enjoy being a child as long as possible because time is fleeting. I still can't believe she turned eight in December. She loves playing outside with her friends, she loves school, she has enjoyed the extra curricular activities that we have joined, and she still love playing with dolls.

My daughter has received two different 19-inch dolls for Christmas that she loves, but they don't have the best quality to stand the test of time. So I wanted her to experience a real American Girl doll, like I had when I was younger, one that she could hopefully pass down to her daughter one day.

March 2021 marks a full year of living under various levels of quarantine, and everyone is handling the past year differently. Some changes may have been good, others not so much. Now is the time to reflect on who we were, who we are and who we want to be...

We are in full blown summer fun our house, but it sure has been a rainy one. Whenever we have had a chance, we have been getting out. We have had so many parties to go to where it even rained at those! And what do you do when the weather is bad and you have two cooped up kids to entertain all day? Board games are a great idea especially when you can take them on the go too!

In our house, September means getting ready for Halloween! It is one of my favorite holidays, if not my favorite. I love dressing up and decorating, creating spooky recipes for the kids, or watching family-friendly scary movies, but I love that there isn't all the pressure that tends to come with Christmas. New year, new you! Have you been rocking those new year resolutions? We finally made it back to the gym after our illnesses and what I have been noticed I was needing were new work out clothes! I needed new leggings especially and how about some FREE leggings?


Let's be real. I wear leggings all the time. I live my life in them and am not ashamed of it. I can dress them up or wear them down. They hug me in all the right places. So getting quality leggings especially is important to me.

It is Spring Break this week at our house. My husband had to work this week, so no vacations for us. And exploring the world will have to wait until another time. And that's fine.
